  • BOTOX

    Botox® is the trade name for Botulinum Toxin, a neurotoxin in the form of a purified protein. The mechanism of action for Botulinum Toxin (Botox®) is really quite simple; it is injected into facial muscles but really doesn’t affect the muscle at all. Botulinum Toxin (Botox®) works by blocking the transmitters between the motor nerves that innervate the muscle.

    The areas typically treated with Botulinum Toxin (Botox®) for wrinkles are the forehead, between the eyes (glabellar region), around the corners of the eyes (crow’s feet) and around the lips (smokers lines or gummy smile). There is no loss of sensory feeling in the muscles. Once the motor nerve endings are interrupted, the muscle cannot contract, causing wrinkles in the skin to smooth.

    Whether you are in your 20s looking to prevent lines and wrinkles from forming, in your 30s or 40s looking to smooth the fine lines and wrinkles that have already begun to show up, or in your 50s, 60s or 70s, after the lines and wrinkles have already set in, Botox can lift your brows, soften crows feet, eliminate frown and forehead lines, relax a gummy smile or smooth away marionette lines.

    The effects of Botulinum Toxin (Botox®) last approximately three to four months, at which time the patient will require retreatment. At Be Renewed and Infused I only offer FDA-approved neurotoxins; Botox and Dysport.

  • FILLERS

    Dermal fillers, also known as injectable implants, soft tissue fillers, or wrinkle fillers are medical device implants approved by the FDA for use in helping to create a smoother and/or fuller appearance in the face, including nasolabial folds (the lines extending from the sides of the nose to the edges of the mouth), cheeks, chin, lips, and back of the hands.

    Since some dermal fillers are naturally absorbed over time, patients may need to repeat the procedure after some time to maintain the desired effect. Successful results will depend on the underlying tissue structure and the volume and type of filler used. The time that the effect lasts depends on the filler material and the area where it is injected.

    Based on your specific needs I may utilize many different dermal fillers and aesthetic injectables. Each injectable has its own unique properties and advantages depending on the desired outcome.
